The '2&5' divider as I call it, has become and international hit! Since we posted it online, we get enquiries from all corners of the planet! - Germany, France, Russia, Dubai, Canada, and Sydney. This resulted in its being voted best design in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2020!
The Story...
The idea of this design arose at the initial on-site consultation. The brief was; " A room divider which does not appear as such, a see-through fire place and a TV watchable from every angle in the living area and kitchen."
On assessing the space, and discerning the client brief, my recommendation was to think outside the box and incorporate all the items of the brief in one installation. This would require removing a short wall area divider. The goal was to open up the areas and redefining them not dividing them.
The clients were intrigued and thrilled at the same time. They proceeded with the design process, and loved my presentation, and the end result!

The Story....
We were called upon to work on the interior design from plan for the apartment, whilst the riverside high-rise building was still under construction. We got involved in part of the prestart selections process, designed a bespoke wall unit and other installations, and selected and fitted all furniture.
Everything in this apartment is bespoke. Including the Perspex wall art which was designed for the niche which we created as part of the wall unit, to provide area definition and a focal point on entering the apartment.
The TV wall unit, comprises storage,display and bar solutions..
Our client has since rehired us on another project.

Figure-five installation. Fittingly, in the fifth spot we have a figure-five divider. This innovative wood structure houses an ethanol-burning fireplace below and a rotating television above. It separates an open-plan kitchen-dining-living area without obscuring space and allows the occupants to enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and view the television no matter where they’re sitting or working in the room.
