'Vantage River's Edge Rivervale Apartment' - Bespoke Interior Design and Fit-out
"THE APARTMENT IN RIVERVALE HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL AND HAS BEEN OCCUPIED BY ONE TENANT SINCE DEPARTING COUNTRY."
We were called upon to work on the interior design from plan for the apartment, whilst the riverside highrise building was still under construction. We got involved in part of the prestart selections process, designed a bespoke wall unit and other installations, and selected and fitted all furniture.
Everything in this apartment is bespoke. Including the Perspex wall art which was designed for the niche which we created as part of the wall unit, to provide area definition and a focal point on entering the apartment.
The TV wall unit, comprises storage, display and bar solutions..
Our client has since rehired us on another project.

The '2&5' divider as I call it, has become and international hit!
Since we posted it online, we get enquiries from all corners of the planet! - Germany, France, Russia, Dubai, Canada, and Sydney. This resulted in its being voted best design in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2020!
Basically the idea of the 2&5 room divider, was concived at the initial onsite consultation session, when the clients expressed their aspiration for a see-through fire place, a swivel TV with the capability of being watched from every angle in the living area including the kitchen. I felt the area was too long and needed a type of divider, so all these components the client wanted could be incorporated in one unit which could in an interisting way divide or rather define the living areas.
The clients were intrigued by my verbal proposal and wanted to see drawings.
The presentation thrilled the clients, and we shook hands on Despina Design implementing our ideas and undertaking the entireproject! I was able to source the timber finish which resembled their Italian furniture (still on water at the time) and with the help of an engineer and our cabinet maker voila!
